“Yada”- to know
I was listening to a morning show one morning and the guest mentioned the Hebrew word “yada”. He referenced it to marriage but I didn’t quite understand the meaning of the word. I wrote the word on my mirror to mediate on it and try to apply it to my marriage.I’ve been in a spiritual battle and there’s nothing I can do but pray, love and wait. I went to see a counselor recently and what I wanted to get out of it was to be kind and loving when I’ve been hurt.
Last night I was praying, begging God to make me like his Son. God told me to pray what I read last night about Joseph. I started to think about the life of Joseph; how he must have felt during those trials; how God was with him and how God knew His plans for Joseph. Then God put on my heart Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”. I asked God “What do you mean by ‘I knew you’?”All of a sudden I heard Him say “YADA”!!!. He knew that I would be born a sinner, weak, give in to the desires of the flesh, rebellious, helpless, and hurt, etc, and still loved me then and now. He knows me intimately, All OF ME, and I’m safe with Him because of his Son and His unfailing love. There’s nothing that can separate me from the love of Christ… and YOU… and OTHERS. People and loved ones should feel safe around us too. Tell someone about this love. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. 2 Corinthians 4:7-12
We only need to throw the seeds of the Gospel. Only God can do the growing. His sheep WILL hear His voice.
“May the Lord receive the reward of His suffering.” “There’s an army rising up to break every chain” “There is power in the name of Jesus”
