Hi Philip.
You are quite certainly correct. Unfortunately at this time, that is the best audio file I have from the classes we have taught in the past. Pastor Scott Thom will has retaught this portion of the class this past quarter of the physical Shepherd School class. I will have to check and see if I have a suitable replacement. Sorry for the…[Read more]

Hi Gilbert,
I will definitely pray for you to get a new job by granting you wisdom and clarity. I am sorry to hear that you got laid off. God’s plans are good and I know that He will take care of you. We can check on that for you and let you know. God will provide. He does not let His children beg (Psalm 37:25).

Hey Guys,
Sorry for the issues and the non response earlier. Apparently the company that makes the program we are using for the website decided to make it mandatory to switch immediately to their newest updated version without us being able to test it out and find the problems that may be present with the newest update. This did cause us to lose…[Read more]

Hey Russ,
In regards to your concern, it would be wrong to teach Matthew 18:15-20 as one interpretation and just one application. Each passage in Scripture is going to have only one interpretation, that will always remain constant, but the Holy Spirit can cause us to see where each passage in Scripture will have more than one application. The…[Read more]

Hey Philip,
You are not a pain at all. I did not know that we had miss labeled these files. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your input helps make our college better. I appreciate it very much as I know what Damian Kyle’s voice sounds like and that was not it. Also thanks for pointing me in the right direction with Jeff Johnson. Some…[Read more]

Hey Michael,
Thanks for posting the excerpt:
Eisegesis Explanation
I listened again and I don’t disagree with the teaching and the context of Matt.18:19-20. What I’m concerned about is that if we teach that Matt.18:19-20 apply only and specifically to church discipline than I think we miss on some principles. If I misunderstood, all I can think is…[Read more] -

Hey Russ,
I am not sure that you and Pastor Scott are on the same page from last night’s study. Here is the excerpt from the study that you are referring to. Please give it another listen and then if you still have questions or concerns, feel free to reiterate them. I don’t believe that he is speaking along the lines that you are headed. It may…[Read more]

I’m struggling with the teaching that the “Two or More” verses in Matt. 18:19-20 have nothing to do with prayer, but only to do with church discipline. We are in Qtr. 3, Module 003, Week 1, Inductive Bible Study. In class last night the question was asked to give examples of spiritualizing the scriptures. So Pastor Scott began the answer by asking…[Read more]

Hi Lucy,
I have checked on multiple devices and I have not been able to recreate the issue. The system is playing the files back properly. The file itself is complete and does not have a break or a gap at 22 seconds. If you are on a cell phone or tablet I would suggest that you restart your device and try again. If you are on a computer, I would…[Read more]
